Scams and hacking attacks of all types have been on the rise in the last year — messaging security provider SlashNext calculated a 61% increase in phishing attacks between October 2021 and 2022 while the FBI recently issued a similar warning against scammers offering fake “tech support” to access financial accounts on one’s computer.
